Noise Abatement Procedures

  • Very noise sensitive area - procedures MUST be followed
  • Avoid overflying villages of Bletsoe, Thurleigh, Hatch End, Keysoe Row and Riseley
  • Visitors must comply with routes and heights on the Noise Abatement Maps
  • Use steep approaches and departures where possible
  • Training, circuit practice, PFLs or low level flypasts are prohibited
  • Circuits only at 1000 ft AGL to the south
  • On arrival RWY 26 make a southerly offset approach to avoid Keysoe and the Equestrian Centre
  • Do NOT overfly the black hatched site on RWY 26 approach one mile from threshold at less than 500ft AGL
  • On departure RWY 08 turn right 20° as soon as possible after take-off to avoid same
  • Unless otherwise requested by Bedford Radio, please approach to 08 and depart on 26 when this can be safely achieved, in order to minimise overflight of residents to the east
