Noise Abatement Procedures

  • Very noise sensitive area - procedures MUST be followed
  • Avoid overflying villages of Bletsoe, Thurleigh, Hatch End, Keysoe Row and Riseley
  • Visitors must comply with routes and heights on the Noise Abatement Maps
  • Use steep approaches and departures where possible
  • Training, circuit practice, PFLs or low level flypasts are prohibited
  • Circuits only at 1000 ft AGL to the south
  • All arrivals must be on runway 08 unless wind prevents this. 
  • Any 26 arrivals must comply with these noise abatement procedures and runway approach plan below
  • If it is necessary to arrive on runway 26 make a southerly offset approach to avoid Keysoe and the Equestrian Centre
  • Do NOT overfly the black hatched site on runway 26 approach one mile from threshold
  • All departures must be on runway 26 unless wind prevents this.
  • Any 08 departures must comply with these noise abatement procedures and runway approach plan below
  • If it is necessary to depart on runway 08 turn right 20° as soon as possible after take-off to avoid Keysoe and the Equestrian Centre
